I might have to try this. Change your email signature (doesn't matter which client) to "Sent from my iPhone" and write 1 sentence emails. I'm tempted to change my work signature to "Sent from my Verizon BlackBerry".
To be honest, thanks to years of instant messaging, I've already reached the point where most of my emails contain just what I need to convey or ask for. There was a time when I would spend a great deal of time composing an email just like the days when we all wrote letters (honest, you kids weren't missing anything). After using IM, text messaging, and Twitter, I just can't spend any more time on an email than necessary. I try not to be too short or to appear rude, but I say what needs to be said, double check to make sure it's acceptable, then hit send.
